Tackling Hatred in Society

Have your say and have an impact on policy

Combating hate

An important precondition for combating hatred should be to attack the cause of this phenomenon. Evil stems from social inequalities. The absence of social justice can be sufficient to sow intolerance within the social fabric. When citizens feel that they are not rewarded for their efforts, while at the same time feeling that they are losing the "train" of social progress, they can forge feelings hostile to others. At the same time, when capitalist impunity goes unpunished, the citizens' own faith in the institution of justice, the guardian of social cohesion, is shaken. Such a case may trigger centrifugal tendencies, once again capturing the community. Therefore, the State has a duty on the one hand to effectively care for its citizens through social benefits (obviously not exceeding the endurance of the state) and at the same time to impose sanctions on anyone who dares to exploit his fellow man for his own benefit.
