I think we should include learning argumentation and debate in our schools from an early age. Teaching our children to present their ideas and defend them with arguments that do not boil down to this is me and this is my opinion. It is important to teach them to listen to and respect the ideas and arguments of others. Teach them that a difference of opinion is not, per se, a personal confrontation. This teaching would be treated as a specific subject with ramifications in all aspects of the learning process.
