The many (poorest) citizens have already exhausted all the saving measures they can afford. The EU should focus on self-generation for poor and medium-sized households. Introduce strict guidelines for Member States to prioritise self-production of households. What is happening in Greece today is unacceptable: large energy companies get permits for monstrous projects and there is no space left for ordinary citizens.
