A new European budget fit for our ambitions
A driving force behind European action
Innovation and investment instead of bans
For too long, the EU has focused on banning. As a prime example, one can take the ban on internal combustion engines from 2035, which is now considered null and void by some EU countries. One has to imagine what the whole process must have cost to pass such a law/ban, only to ultimately be rejected again. Obviously, politicians in Brussels are more interested in one ban after another, which is not even fixed in the end, rather than promoting sustainable research and investment. How could these investments be refinanced? All the officials who have to be paid to decide on a ban are not needed, so you can invest the money more wisely. The motto should be: Progress through innovation.
