A new European budget fit for our ambitions
A driving force behind European action
Revitalisation of emptied Spain through sustainable rural tourism in rural regions
Depopulation is a constant in rural areas of Spain, causing a phenomenon known as emptied Spain. We are many young people who feel a concern for our peoples, who although they have a unique natural and cultural heritage, are threatened by oblivion and lack of resources. That is why effective aid and policies are needed to exploit these areas in a sustainable way and revitalize them through tourist influences. One of the biggest problems we have is poor infrastructure, so it is necessary to increase public investment in infrastructure, many of them already existing (such as airports, railway lines, roads) but totally neglected. This would help to connect urban centers with tourist towns of great interest. Another great solution would be an application of tax incentives for companies that want to establish themselves in empty Spain, supporting through subsidies to develop sustainable transport solutions, rural accommodation and management of tourist experiences to attract numerous visitors and generate local employment. We have a lot to offer, and with the right support, it can be achieved. If we can get public policies aimed at revitalizing and modernizing rural infrastructure, we can create a more prosperous future for these forgotten areas.
