Pseudoportretas Christina Staß

Pavadinimas (English)

  • +European Anti-Discrimination Education & Awareness Fund

Pagrindinė dalis (English)

  • +To strengthen the European Union’s commitment to equality and inclusion, the next EU budget should include a dedicated fund to combat discrimination in all its forms - be it racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, homophobia, Islamophobia, or discrimination based on gender, disability, or age. The proposed European Anti-Discrimination Education & Awareness Fund would support comprehensive initiatives aimed at prevention, awareness, and institutional change.
  • +Key measures would include funding inclusive educational programs that promote diversity and human rights from an early age, launching coordinated public awareness campaigns to challenge stereotypes, and supporting training for public officials - particularly law enforcement and civil servants - to address unconscious bias and ensure fair treatment for all. Additionally, the fund would empower grassroots organizations through micro-grants, enabling them to run local projects that foster social cohesion and give voice to marginalized communities.
  • +Strengthening national anti-discrimination bodies and supporting the collection of reliable data on hate incidents would ensure accountability and informed policymaking. By investing in long-term education, awareness, and institutional reform, the EU can proactively address the root causes of discrimination and foster a Union where diversity is not only accepted but embraced.
