„ES studentų paskolos“ pakeitimai

Pseudoportretas Malte Kleinknecht

Pavadinimas (English)

  • +EU student loans

Pagrindinė dalis (English)

  • +One of the primary barriers to accessing or continuing higher education is the issue of personal finances. While private lenders do offer student loans, these are often accompanied by high interest rates, which can deter potential applicants. A few EU member states have introduced their own generous national funding schemes to address this challenge. However, in the interest of promoting EU integration and ensuring equal opportunities for prospective students across all member states, the implementation of a unified EU-wide student loan program would be great. Since such loans would generally be repaid (albeit without interest), the long-term impact on the EU budget would be minimal. At the same time, this initiative would enable the EU to promote a positive image among young people by offering them meaningful opportunities.
