In order to increase honey production, professional beekeeping should be encouraged. Appropriate means of transport should be provided for this purpose. Existing solutions need to be modernised. I have made proposals to the competent authorities in Croatia, but I have not been answered, which means that local institutions are not interested.Eu imports more honey than it produces. It is necessary to finance modern laboratories for the control of counterfeit honey with the latest technologies at affordable prices. Consumer protection and fraud prevention institutions need to start their work. Unfair competition from imports is destroying European beekeepers. Despite many years of subsidizing beekeeping with money from the EU budget, there have been no serious improvements in terms of restitution of honey production. Who's responsible for this? It is necessary to involve competent people who are familiar with the issue of beekeeping. If someone like me submits a proposal to the EU institutions for the realization of a project, then it is necessary for the same project to be solved at the EU level and not to be sent to uninterested local bureaucracy. Forcing the association is contrary to Article 20 of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Independent individuals are often much more effective than self-serving interest groups. Individual initiatives are much more successful. E.g. Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, Nikola Tesla, Mark Zucemberg, Bill Gates, etc.
