A new European budget fit for our ambitions

A driving force behind European action

Internalisation of SMEs

Over time, León has lost an important economic and business boom, so we propose to the European Commission to promote the internationalization of SMEs dedicated to the mining sector, increase the number of companies benefiting from the COSME program and the extension of deadlines along with the simplification of bureaucratic conditions. The loss of the mining boom in León is due to the depletion of natural resources, as well as the fluctuation of international mineral prices and also due to the lack of investments in sustainable infrastructure. All this led to a decline in economic activity and employment in the Leonese region. Consequently, all this led to the closure of mines and the diversification of the local economy, reducing the dependence of the Leonese locality on mining. Access to finance, as we well know, is a problem that most SMEs face during their development. The European COSME programme is designed to facilitate access to finance at all stages of business development, from start-up to expansion. Therefore, we seek to provide SMEs through the COSME program, with greater financing, together with the extension of deadlines and simplification of bureaucratic conditions, which create certain complexities in the eyes of people who are not experts in bureaucratic issues, making adherence to the program as a simple, clear and understandable accession.
