Tackling Hatred in Society
Have your say and have an impact on policy
The need for referenda for all European nations for the political and economic decisions of the EU
We citizens often find ourselves with decisions made by politicians outside national contexts. It therefore happens that citizens are overwhelmed by unfair regulations or directives and devoid of attention to fundamental human rights. This is why political and economic decisions that have a major impact on the lives of European citizens require shared objectives. In fact, it often seems that the Middle Ages are not over and that citizens are considered subjects rather than members of a community. Have you, for example, asked citizens if they want privacy regarding their biometric data to be violated when you have decided to oblige them to have a digital identity card or a European Digital Identity that also includes health and banking data? Have you, by any chance, asked whether Europeans were in agreement with the release of GMOs or NBTs into the environment that could potentially destroy the natural and wild biodiversity of each individual state? Or have you asked whether European citizens agree with supporting the right or wrong wars with their own money? And again, did you ask whether European citizens agreed with a digital and green transition that shifts pollution problems to third states? No, you didn't. That is why we need referendums that evaluate the work of politicians by denying or supporting their actions often dictated by loobying.
