ECIB-ZX proposes the creation of an intelligent circular ecosystem for the comprehensive lifecycle management of electric vehicle (EV) batteries in the European Union. The project addresses the growing need for sustainable solutions for EV battery management, promoting reuse, refurbishment and efficient recycling, we want to be a benchmark in the circular economy of EV batteries, driving the transition towards more sustainable mobility and contributing to the creation of a circular economic model in Europe. Our project is divided into three main pillars: Advanced Diagnosis and Refurbishment Digital Platform for Traceability and Second Life Sustainable Recycling and Material Recovery We ask the European Commission to allocate a part of the EU budget to directly or indirectly finance the creation of a circular infrastructure for the management of EV batteries. This infrastructure would include: Funding for the creation of regional centres equipped with advanced technologies for the diagnosis and refurbishment of batteries. Support for the creation of standards and certifications for the quality and safety of second-hand batteries. The necessary connectivity of these infrastructures for a fast and efficient circulation of batteries both nationally and internationally.
