Young people were interested in simplification and how it would affect the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. The big question on young people’s minds: what will happen now that many companies don’t have to report as much?

Honestly, as a young person, I am also worried about the direction in which the simplification of reporting is going. I understand the need for business not to be overburdened with bureaucracy, but at the same time I believe that sustainability cannot be measured by symbolic reports. If companies start reporting "less," it should not mean "less commitment," but simply "better structured and more accessible information." For me, transparency is at the heart of trust – especially for a generation that is not content with promises but wants to see real results. If simplification leads to a clearer picture and more meaningful commitments, excellent. But if it becomes a way to hide uncomfortable truths, then we lose not only accountability, but also the future we want to build.
