Fostering dialogue and exchanges
To counter hate it is necessary to foster dialogue, openness and positive communication (nonviolent communication according to Marshall Rosenberg). Early non-violent communication education will teach people to better recognise their needs and avoid transferring their annoyances and fears to others. Regular meetings between different communities and dialogue will alleviate fears and apprehensions. We also need to move towards a society based on cooperation and not competition and competition. A societal paradigm shift is needed in this regard (e.g. local cooperatives, creation of shared visions and values that take into account the environment and well-being of future generations.
