The permission of backward-running electricity meters as a contribution to the energy transition.
Solar power is an important component of the energy transition. A simple measure could make photovoltaic systems much more profitable for the owners. Newly built photovoltaic systems today usually consist of the modules (plus inverters) and a power storage system. The systems would be much more profitable if one could dispense with the storage. This would be possible if even in Germany – as usual in the Netherlands – electricity meters would be allowed to run backwards.
