It is crucial to develop heat networks by linking them to renewable energy or recovery sources such as thalassothermia, geothermal energy, and to massively install heat recoverers in waste incineration plants and data centers. At the same time, with the phasing out of natural gas, the reuse of existing transport infrastructure to transport cleaner fuels, such as hydrogen, should be explored.
