Tackling Hatred in Society

Promoting Positive Emotions
Like any emotion, hatred exists today in our societies more than a decade ago because it was cultivated. To counteract it, we have to cultivate positive emotions: for example, gratitude, sympathy, empathy, etc. This can be done in many ways. I will give just two examples from social media and show biz: through challenges on TikTok and other social media (such as "holding a 20-second gratitude speech for your neighbor/teacher, etc."), through reality shows or talk shows that bring together a group of people with seemingly irreconcilable beliefs and guide them to find common ground, shared affinities (for example, a sympathetic AUR and a sympathetic USR are both in love with the sea, an Arab immigrant in Germany and an AfD sympathizer are both kebab enthusiasts, a Melencheon supporter and a Le Pen are both chess players). So: Cultivating positive emotions through all possible educational, social, and cultural means. Because positive emotions generate common ground, and where we find common ground there is no room for hatred.
