Cybercrime: Phone fraud
Phone fraud is one of the most common ways criminals try to get personal information or money by impersonating trusted institutions on the phone. Therefore, urgent action should be taken against scam calls in order to better protect citizens from phishing calls or smishing (SMS phishing). Cybercrime units should be given more resources to identify such scammers more quickly and uncover networks. In the long term, data protection must also be strengthened to prevent personal data from falling into the hands of criminals in the first place.
