I propose that the European Union grant each newborn a contribution of 3,000 euros, which his parents would deposit in a secure, stable and indexed fund of an increasing type. This capital would grow over the years and would be available when the person reaches retirement age, thus guaranteeing a supplement to his pension. This measure would promote long-term financial security and ease the burden on public pension systems, providing a sustainable solution to the ageing population. In addition, it would give equal opportunities to all citizens from birth.
