It is an innovative European initiative that promotes the cultivation and integral use of industrial hemp as an engine of sustainable development, energy transition and food security. This proposal articulates three strategic lines based on hemp derivatives that transform several key sectors: Hemp cement for ecological constructions: the construction of sustainable infrastructure using hempcrete (hemp cement), a biodegradable, insulating and low carbon footprint material, shall be promoted. These constructions will also serve as spaces for new green ventures. Hemp biofuel for clean energy: through sustainable processes, biofuel will be developed from hemp oil, intended to feed agricultural machinery such as tractors and to generate electricity for the production facilities of the project. Hemp flour for conscious nutrition: hemp flour, rich in protein, omega-3 and fibre, intended for the production of plant-based and healthy foods shall be produced. This line will include the creation of a plant-based gastronomic enterprise, located in a facility built with hemp, thus closing a sustainable and circular production cycle. It seeks to position hemp as a strategic crop in the European Green Deal, fostering rural employment, eco-innovation and a circular economy model based on land, clean energy and conscious food.
