A new European budget fit for our ambitions

A driving force behind European action

Financing the involvement of young citizens and encouraging an introduction to the debate

For young citizens to make more use of portals, they must be made more visible and accessible. A budget line to create a mobile application, intuitive and interactive, will capture their attention. At the same time, European awareness-raising activities in schools and youth centres can raise awareness of the portals and their opportunities. It is also essential to ensure the participation of young citizens in political discussions through quotas, while ensuring that a diversity of profiles is represented, including those far from the political sphere. We propose a budget so that students can follow and benefit from workshops and pedagogical outings allowing them to meet members of European institutions to discover the work done at the level of these bodies and help them develop their curiosity and to express themselves openly in subjects of direct interest to them. This educational logic must lead us not to limit ourselves to secondary education, but to pursue this approach to higher education. We call for increased funding for scientific research. Researchers at the beginning of their careers encounter difficulties in terms of funding. Additional funding would encourage young researchers to pursue careers in the European Union.
