A new European budget fit for our ambitions

A driving force behind European action

Nuclear stabilization

Climate change is a fact that we are facing in our current reality, so we should stop using fossil fuels such as gas or coal as soon as possible, to reach an ideal goal of 70% of renewable energies within the European Union, and for this we should carry out a stabilization plan with nuclear energy which is also a clean and sustainable source, I do not suggest that we build more power plants, but that we stop dismantling the existing ones in Europe and start using them more, this type of energy will help make the transition to renewable energy cleaner and more efficient in addition to providing support in cases of falls like the one that Spain suffered little by little due to its energy self-sufficiency (to diesel but it is only in severe cases of emergency and it is always better than burning coal or gas).

Also for the storage of nuclear waste (something that people are very concerned about), examples can be followed such as that of Finland with the Onkalo, which is the first deep geological store of highly active radioactive waste.

Another of the advantages that this plan would carry would be that of price stabilization since we would not depend on gas, which is the most expensive bill and based on the type of energy market that marks the price of the others so it makes everything more expensive, making energy more of a luxury than a necessity, preventing it from being accessible to all citizens.
