Intergenerational Fairness
Have your say and have an impact on policy
Different generations have access to and live together in affordable and inclusive housing as a basic human right
Imagine a neighbourhood where people of all ages, backgrounds, and incomes live, care for each other, and grow together. Homes are designed and planned for flexible multigenerational living, with shared spaces that foster connection. Residents can move between nearby units as their family size or needs change, staying rooted within their community. Generations support one another; youth assist elders with technology-related aspects, for example, while older neighbours can help with shared community-based agriculture, offer career and life guidance, and care for the children. Housing rent and costs are capped or adjusted based on income, leaving nobody disproportionately affected. Every street is characterised by economic and age diversity by design, creating a resilient, inclusive neighbourhood where belonging is built into the neighbourhood structure itself.
