European social security for greater intergenerational mobility
The older we get, the more we tend to be tied to the Member State in which we worked and lived, unless we have good financial means. What I would like to propose is a common European social security system in which health care and insurance can be included between Member States without the individual suffering because, for example, there are income differences between Member States and without having to requalify for a period of time. It could be based on a scoring system you work up, no matter where it is. This could increase the mobility of young people, who might want to test their wings in another part of Europe, or perhaps, when they have children, might want to move home without being insured. For the elderly, it might be nice to move somewhere warmer or maybe back home from the heat. Today it is not so easy to do.
