A new round of discussions

Boosting EU trade and strategic autonomy

Avatar: Official contribution Official contribution

Young people say that the EU should maintain open trade while strengthening strategic autonomy, reform its investment and funding approach to reduce fragmentation, support smaller Member States through specialisation, cooperation and funding and boost collaboration between universities and research institutes to spread innovation across Europe, in particular in less advanced regions.

With the EU focusing on unleashing the full potential of the Single Market by 2028, there is an opportunity to consider how these proposals could inform future policies.

Do you agree with these recommendations? What else should the EU do to support innovation, trade, and cooperation across Member States?
