Young entrepreneurs working on circular initiatives are raising important questions: To what extent does the EU expect the same high standards in other countries? They also note that some rules might need to be adapted to fit specific products or purposes. 

The Circular Economy Act, set to be adopted in 2026, aims to create a Single Market for secondary raw materials, increase the supply of high-quality recycled materials, and encourage their use across the EU. This supports the Competitiveness Compass goal of making the EU the world leader in the circular economy by 2030.
