Participants expressed concern about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and urged the EU to take a stronger, united stance. They called for more diplomatic efforts, humanitarian aid, and protection of civilians. For them, defending human rights is a core value the EU must uphold — not just in Europe, but globally.

They also voiced their hopes for peace in Ukraine. One participant called on the EU to do more to help broker a lasting and just peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, saying that peacebuilding is not only about politics, but about protecting dignity and stability across Europe.

What more can the EU do to defend human rights and support peacebuilding efforts around the world? How can young people help shape these actions?
