Youth Policy Dialogues
A new round of discussions
Mental well-being should be a core priority for young people’s lives
Participants said that mental health deserves the same attention as physical health, especially given the growing pressures young people face at school, work, and online. They explained that stress, burnout, and anxiety are becoming increasingly common, yet support services remain limited or hard to access. Young people called for more open conversations about mental well-being, better school counselling, and accessible, affordable mental health care across the EU. They also highlighted the need to fight stigma and create environments where asking for help feels normal. For them, a healthy mind is the foundation for learning, creativity, and happiness.
What could help make mental well-being a real priority in schools, workplaces, and communities?
