Participants said that with new technologies like artificial intelligence, it’s getting harder to tell what’s real and what’s been digitally faked or manipulated. They called for clearer labelling of digital content - especially deepfakes and AI-generated material - to help users make smarter choices and rebuild trust in what they see online. Young people also warned that disinformation spreads easily, crossing borders in second, that’s why the EU should team up with global partners to create shared rules and stronger transparency standards.
