Keeping Europe safe means protecting people, rights and trust

Participants highlighted that a safe Europe depends on both strong institutions and public trust. They called for pragmatic action against hybrid threats such as disinformation, cyberattacks and foreign interference, while keeping the EU’s commitment to human rights at the centre. They also urged the Commission to communicate its security efforts more clearly and accessibly so citizens can see how the EU is protecting them. True security, they said, means safeguarding those who protect others while upholding the dignity and rights of every person.
