Support pollinator-friendly urban design

Existing structures and public spaces should be greened to make them more pollinator-friendly, through green façades and other nature-integrated designs. Public buildings, such as schools, hospitals as well as social housing estates, should set the example, with the support of Member States, cities and public authorities.

These measures should create genuine pollinator-friendly habitats, including more natural areas within cities, rather than only ornamental or decorative green spaces, and should also address light and noise pollution.
