Pan-European replication of the Swedish Model of preparedness&resilience
Replication through adaptation of the Swedish model of resilience&preparedness focused on Whole-of-Society approach,Psychological Defense,Total Defence policy. The Swedish resilience&preparedness ecosystem is built on several pillars: Civil Defence and Resilience Agency(MCF),Psychological Defence Agency(MPF),18 Voluntary defence organisations(FFO),12 Preparedness sectors.
-Total Defence duty is mandatory for Swedish citizens, either through military, civilian, or public service. Sweden’s established approach means that when the highest state of threat is declared, the whole of society understands its role and is prepared to take action.
-Sweden has 12 preparedness sectors, comprising 60 authorities of particular importance to society's crisis preparedness and total defence.
-In addition, Sweden has the so called “Voluntary defence organisations” that have existed for more than 100 years and play an important role in Sweden's crisis and war preparedness. There are 18 voluntary defence organisations in Sweden with around 350,000 members of various ages. They are present at local level throughout the country. FFOs have specific missions in crisis preparedness and total defence and are financed by government funds through MSB and the Swedish Armed Forces. They have a range of specialised skills that are particularly useful when societal disruptions and crises occur.
