Senior social tourism to meet young rural entrepreneurs
I am 63 years old and my proposal is based on the consideration of valuing the training, knowledge and experiences that older people and young people can contribute in an intergenerational collaboration project. I propose to boost and contribute to an active and healthy life in the elderly, through tourist visits to rural environments in the European regions themselves, for one to three days. These trips will serve to connect the groups of older people who visit these villages, with young entrepreneurs, producers, artisans, hoteliers, etc. who carry out their projects in the rural environments of the different European regions. The proposal has to do with social tourism, well-being, a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and the improvement of the quality of life of the elderly. A collective for which there are hardly any plans for personal development and transformation and that, for different reasons, suffer problems of loneliness, empty nest, adaptation or emotional, among others. Older people need a social cohesion network to encourage them to participate and stay active. But in addition to sharing experiences with other people of their age, the innovation of this project lies in knowing the culture, history, heritage and gastronomy of the places we will visit, collaborating and meeting young rural entrepreneurs, contributing to the increase in their economic income, buying their products and making their businesses visible.
