Intergenerational Fairness
Have your say and have an impact on policy
Human and Robots Global Dialogue
To build an intergenerationally fair future, we need a strategic approach to human-AI coexistence that balances innovation with human well-being. This involves equitable interaction between humans and robots, grounded in a deep understanding of human nature. People should be given the opportunity, through global policymaking, to adapt gradually to emerging technologies, with a transitional period to learn how to work effectively alongside AI and robotic systems.
We envision mediation institutions and new relationship frameworks where society acknowledges that AI and robots currently outperform humans in many tasks, while ensuring ombudspersons and fair evaluation mechanisms to protect human interests and dignity.
Additional strategic measures include:
Education and training programs designed to foster human-AI collaboration skills from an early age.
Ethical guidelines and accountability standards for AI and robotics in workplaces, healthcare, and public services.
Community engagement and participatory policymaking, ensuring that all generations have a voice in shaping AI integration.
Social safety nets and adaptive labor policies to support workers transitioning into new roles alongside automation.
Cultural awareness campaigns to promote trust, understanding, and empathy between humans and AI-driven systems.
This strategy aims to create a balanced, intergenerationally fair future, where technology enhances human potential while preserving human rights, social cohesion
