Intergenerational Fairness

Have your say and have an impact on policy

A Caring Alliance Across Analog, Transitional, and Algorithmic Generations

Older people in an analogue society face digital exclusion, loss of social value and anxiety about being left behind. They need inclusion, recognition and meaningful participation. Transitional generations bear the double burden of care and economic insecurity, suffering from exhaustion and invisibility; Policies are needed that value care, ensure stability and enable lifelong learning. Future generations entering an algorithmic world risk being reduced to data, losing autonomy and relational depth, and they need enforceable digital rights, transparent algorithmic governance and education that develops critical, ethical and creative capabilities. An intergenerational just vision responds to emotional frustrations as well as material needs, institutionalising dialogue, restoring dignity and capacity for action, and treating vulnerability as a shared civic resource that builds trust and solidarity.
