Bridging the Generational Gap: Integrating Gen Y and Forgotten Adults into EU Civic Programming

While the European Union has made significant strides in youth engagement through Erasmus+, ALMA, EU solidarity corps and DiscoverEU, a critical demographic remains underrepresented: Generation Y and the adult cohorts who came of age during EU expansion but now feel excluded from its civic and cultural rhythms. This proposal advocates for the creation of modular, intergenerational programs that restore agency, dignity, and belonging to these citizens—many of whom are drifting into euroscepticism not out of ideology, but from a sense of abandonment.
