Intergenerational Fairness
Have your say and have an impact on policy
What do I want the EU of the future to look like?
A European Union (EU) where young, adult and older generations work closely together to build a prosperous, sustainable and cohesive society. An intergenerational Europe that not only shares geographical space, but also dreams, responsibilities and achievements. A Europe where the wisdom of the elderly is integrated into the decisions of the present. Retirees are not a burden, but mentors, advisors, caregivers and guardians of historical memory. Their experiences nurture innovation with perspective. A youth empowered to lead with vision for the future. Young people have a real voice in political, economic and social processes. They don't just protest: propose, design and implement solutions for global challenges such as climate change, artificial intelligence and digital democracy. A renewed social contract, focused on intergenerational equity. Public policies ensure a fair distribution of resources, opportunities and well-being between generations. Neither pensions nor the environment nor public debt are paid at the expense of some to benefit others. Continuing education, accessible to all ages. From the age of 5 to 95, Europeans can learn, unlearn and relearn in a flexible, technological and humane training ecosystem.
