To date, two important measures promoted by the European Union are energy communities and white certificates. These measures are completely separate to date, the ERCs are of interest to citizens, despite the need for support from distributors, white certificates concern energy distributors. The integration of the two policies is an interesting opportunity and could take place by making ERC projects eligible under the White Certificates mechanism.
